It’s not you…it’s your President

On Mar 4 the premier of Ontario Premier Doug Ford on CNN apologized for the possible cutting of energy exports to the U.S saying “It’s not you…it’s your President”. Really? I beg to differ. Watching interviews on various websites of Americans voters discussing their choice for President, one can clearly see how we arrived at our current state of misery. Trump is simply the tip of the spear. It is those who threw it that need to atone.

Many voters said “I like Trump but I’m not crazy about his policies”. And you voted for him anyways? What did you expect that he was only joking about dismantling our government agencies. That he wasn’t serious about leaving the Paris Climate Accord, NATO, and the World Health Organization. Alarms were sounded over and over that a tariff trade war would result in inflation and a recession. Yet here we are.

You don’t get to absolve yourself of the carnage being inflicted on our Country by saying you didn’t agree with his policies. If you voted for him, you are guilty. You are guilty of killing the AIDS babies that will no longer be cured from medications provided by USAID. You are guilty of depriving US children of medical and dental care provided by Medicaid. You are guilty of poking a stick in the eye of our closest friend and ally who has supported our interests and had our back for more than 100 years.  And if we become the fascist state that Trump is trying to make us, one without free elections, one without freedom of press, freedom of speech and religion. You will be the one responsible for the loss of America itself.

Trump is just the tip of the spear. It is those who threw it that need to atone. You screwed up. Are you just going to sit there while we lose our country to fascism. Or are you going to do something about it?
